Ion exchange for sulphate removal
BioteQ has specialized expertise in ion exchange processes to remove calcium- and magnesium-sulphates from water.
Our proprietary Sulf-IX™ process uses cation exchange resin to remove calcium and magnesium by loading the cations onto the resin, and then anion exchange resin to remove sulphate. The resins are generated using low cost reagents. The process produces a saleable gypsum by-product and clean water that can be re-used or discharged. Click here to see our Case Studies.
